Vier Gruppenausstellungen zeigen Arbeiten der diesjährigen Pictoplasma Festival-Künstler*innen. Im Verwalterhaus auf dem Alten St. Marien St. Nikolai Friedhof in Mitte werden Werke versammelt, die anderweltig anmuten, u.a. von Clémentine Bal (FR), Los Calladitos (MX) und Parn Aniwat (TH). Im neurotitan, der legendären Projektgalerie im Haus Schwarzenberg, liegt der Fokus auf Illustration, Storytelling und Graphic Arts. Es stellen die Künstler*innen Joseph Melhuish (UK), Genie Espinosa (ES) und Eric Schwarz (DE/FR) aus. Dritter Stop ist der Showroom von Rainbow Unicorn, von wo die Tour weiter zum Festivalzentrum silent green geht. Hier werden im transmediale studio digitale Medieninstallationen gezeigt, u.a. von BORA (FR), Sophie Koko Gate (UK) und Christopher Rutledge (US). Und Pictoplasma öffnet seine Character Archives und präsentiert 30.000 Dateien aus zwei Jahrzehnten in einer Medieninstallation.

Four group exhibitions across Berlin present and premier works by Pictoplasma's featured artists. At Verwalterhaus, the former caretaker building located at the St. Marien St. Nikolai cemetery in Mitte, the spiritual qualities of the exhibited works find a suitably otherworldly setting, with artworks by Clémentine Bal (FR), Los Calladitos (MX) and Parn Aniwat (TH). At neurotitan, the legendary project space that continues to exude the untamed creativity it fostered in the early 1990s, the spotlight is on illustration, storytelling and graphic arts, with artists Joseph Melhuish (UK), Genie Espinosa (ES), and Eric Schwarz (DE/FR). The exhibition tour makes another stop in Mitte for an installation at the bright and airy showroom Rainbow Unicorn, moving on to the central festival venue silent green and the adjunct transmediale studio in Wedding. Here, digital media installations feature BORA (FR), Sophie Koko Gate (UK), and Christopher Rutledge (US). Finally, visitors are invited to an immersive dive through Pictoplasma’s Character Archives with 30,000 files collected over two decades, presented in a media installation.
